Recognise yourself?

Considering a career pivot but not sure how to make the change?

Managing a team that have the skills, but lack cohesion?

Feeling stuck in your job but can’t see a path forward?

Work-life balance in need of an overhaul, but don’t know where to start?

For these and other professional challenges, I’m here to help.

Complimentary Introduction Session

Think of it as a brief “chemistry chat”, to uncover what you’d like to achieve and just as importantly, whether there’s a fit between us. All going well, we’ll move forward from there.

my approach

Learning from the inside

Much of my career to date has involved bringing together and managing large teams. Invariably there’s time and budget pressures, challenges around keeping account teams creative teams aligned, along with managing suppliers and the all-important client expectations. It wasn’t always plain-sailing, and at times it stretched me to my limits, but it’s a role I was made for, and one I’ve relished.

Harmony is key

I’ve always been an intuitive and responsive project leader, constantly with an eye on the human factor; I’ve seen how teams work best when each member feels their contribution is valued and recognised – from those working at the heart of the project, to third party suppliers. I’ve also learnt the value of a harmonious (where possible) working atmosphere, and have seen how that positively impacts on productivity and enthusiasm for the project at hand.

Personal take-outs

Uplifting team dynamics, a sense of mutual respect and knowing your input was valued; these were the qualities of the standout workplaces that I’ve been happiest working in, and they remain the keystones when it comes to coaching and mentoring clients and guiding them towards a more satisfying and fulfilling work experience.

My Services – with you at the centre

One-on-one coaching

Whether it’s guidance and support to build confidence and self-worth, or helping remove perceived barriers that are preventing you achieving your goals, I can help you identify any blocks and guide you in moving past them.  Together we can rediscover your unique talents and motivations, and how best to use them to increase your performance and overall satisfaction with work, and life.

Coaching Sessions would cover (but not limited to):

Identifying your personal and/or business goals

Unearthing the barriers /limiting beliefs that may be preventing you achieving them

Bringing awareness to how you’re dealing with current challenges in work

Find pathways forward, in areas you didn’t think were possible

In my role as an advisor or guide, I can provide support and feedback – either across a specific project, or in a more general capacity.   My approach includes getting to know the individual and their personal challenges, and then sharing my own knowledge and experience to help them develop and grow.  For more senior clients, the mentoring process can help accelerate transformative change, and in some cases, I can facilitate introductions through my extensive business network.

Mentoring Sessions would cover (but not limited to):

Understanding & managing your role and how to excel in it

Building towards the next stage in your career

Addressing issues with line managers

The power of language in dealing with colleagues and clients

Is your group dynamic creaking? A new company strategy creating unrest?  Need to re-energise your team?

While business challenges tend to be universal in nature, the culture of each company is unique, which means one-size coaching will never fit all.  With this in mind, I build bespoke training modules, tailored to the particular issues or challenges being faced by you and your team.

Increasing team engagement & satisfaction

I can work with your teams to find their best skills and their key motivators, that will better align them within their role.  My work may also reveal how individuals could be better employed in a different role within the company.   Bottom line;  I can l help your team members to feel more engaged, with a stronger sense of purpose in their work.

Knowledge sharing

I’m a big believer in the benefits of junior team members learning from the experience of their seniors.  Not only does it help the newer team members develop their skills faster, but by giving them the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment, they’re more likely to actively step up and engage more.

Aiming for a better work-life balance

This has been a driving force in my life.  Since my early 40s I’ve managed to have a 4 day week, which has given me valuable headspace on a Friday to develop other interests, take courses, or simply spend more time with friends.  During sessions I will encourage discussions around achieving a better work balance, and how it positively impacts on productivity and overall work-satisfaction.

About me

I’ve always felt most fulfilled when helping grow other people’s potential and guiding them towards achieving their goals or defining what it is that they really want to do. Getting along with people, while also getting the job done has been my guiding principle. It’s served me well while navigating the many and diverse roles I’ve held in the marketing and advertising world.

In my personal life, I’ve reared a wonderful son and currently enjoy self-employment and the freedom it gives me to pursue work that really matters to me. I have navigated over 35 years financially independent; it can be achieved with motivation, focus and planning.

I want to give back the learnings, the insights and the hacks I’ve gleaned from a successful 30 year career. I want to make it easier, and to feel more intuitive for individuals to navigate and flourish where they are, or help them realise that it’s the right time to move on. How can I help you?

Engaging with a coach or mentor isn’t something you do every day, so to make it easier for my clients, I suggest a short introduction session, a brief “chemistry” chat to uncover what you’d like to achieve and just as importantly, to see if there’s a good fit between us.

Do you value your time?

Do you value your time?

Valuing my time has become more imperative both personally and particularly professionally: last week a few people picked up on an article by Ellinor Otter talking about working for free being a 'no no' and the type of face she would make when asked to do so. It was a...

The internal shift in 2022

Testimonials

Sinead Boyle, Managing Director, Bloom

“We recently took part in the IAPI coaching sessions with Jane. Her background in advertising gives her a unique positioning as a coach working with young people in the ad industry. We got excellent feedback from our team member who took part. They gained a lot from the experience. Jane really helped them to articulate what they want from their career and helped them set personal goals to help work towards that.”

Sean Higgins, Future Media

“We’re delighted with the work that Jane did with our team. It was really beneficial for us to provide staff with an external sounding board and safe space to tease out specific career topics that don’t typically arise on a daily basis. It’s so important for people to put a focus on their career as opposed to their work and the sessions with Jane provided the perfect platform for just that.”

Claire Feely, Deputy Managing Director, Elevate

“It was a pleasure to work with Jane to provide coaching to one of our colleagues in Elevate. The process from a line manager perspective was seamless and very well organised, beginning with a pre-briefing call and ending with a post-coaching call, which was really helpful and insightful. We hope that we get the opportunity to work with Jane again.”

Johnnie Davis, Owner, Allied Global

“I have only good things to say about working with Jane: she is professional, personable and perfectly placed to offer both coaching and mentorship to all levels of employees across a team. Jane has an ability to put people at ease and to allow someone to open up so as to get the most from the sessions. We will continue to work with her having seen immediate benefit: our team member who availed of the coaching noted that they received clear guidance, an understanding of skills/potential, fine tuning of thought process and advice on how to overcome obstacles. They thoroughly enjoyed working with Jane so all in it was an absolute success.”

Bobby Byrne, Owner, Ringers Creative

“Jane mentored  a relatively new team member in Ringers Creative. Often coaching and mentoring is offered to you later in your career. But giving a young team member access to Jane’s experience, wisdom and clarity had an immediate positive impact. I am confident it will continue to benefit the team member and Ringers into the future. Given the challenges our young team members face, I can’t recommend enough bringing in Jane to work with young talent. Rather than seeing coaching as a solution for when things aren’t going well, an early investment in people will pay dividends as they grow in their role.”

ENDA KELLY, Joint Managing Director WT Folk

“Jane initially started with us in a short term freelance capacity to provide senior cover during an unexpectedly busy period. So popular was she with her colleagues and her clients, that she was then with us for almost two years. During that time Jane worked across multiple key accounts, managing and mentoring a number of Account Managers and Account Executives. Collaborative by nature, she worked daily with the internal teams in strategy, creative and production to ensure our output was delivered to the highest standard, while fostering a strong team culture. Always the coolest head in the room, Jane brings a level of confidence and calm that makes her quite exceptional. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough.”

KARL SYMES, Head of Brand Irish Life

Jane was our Account Director in Folk Wunderman She was great to work with, always delivering against demanding timelines and workload. Jane has a wonderful natural talent for keeping everything under control, balancing our needs with the needs of the agency, but always making you feel really valued as a client and a person. I’d highly recommend Jane for any business or marketing role where your people and customer skills are the key requirement.

AISLING BLAKE, Global Business Director Facebook

Jane worked with us in Radical in 2016 on a freelance basis. However, she immediately became part of the team; guiding and supporting them. She is calm, considered and a trusted team member to deliver across a range of projects, from branding through to content creation. Her experience in the industry is invaluable and I would work with her any time!

DECLAN STONE, Managing Director Colliers

I’m delighted to write a recommendation for Jane. Colliers International have used Jane’s services for 14 years … on a vast range on marketing initiatives, ranging from our Company in its own right, to our Client Companies, their properties, and in the launch (and on-going promotion and market positioning) of a major Shopping Centre. The reason we keep going back to Jane …? Simple, we have never found her work, her creativity, and attention to our needs anything other than exemplary. And on top of all this, she makes us look good in front of our Clients!

PETER LLOYD, Group Marketing Director Digicel

Jane and her senior team from Huguenot Design worked with us through a challenging rebrand for Digicel in 2011, because of Jane’s unique ability to develop, grow and sustain client relationships, she kept the project on track and had a clear understanding of the Senior Management Team’s requirements;  She kept both the creative team churning out their excellent work, while keeping the client calm. I would recommend her highly for her ability to understand the clients needs and through her personable style pull us all through the project successfully
