my approach
Learning from the inside
Much of my career to date has involved bringing together and managing large teams. Invariably there’s time and budget pressures, challenges around keeping account teams creative teams aligned, along with managing suppliers and the all-important client expectations. It wasn’t always plain-sailing, and at times it stretched me to my limits, but it’s a role I was made for, and one I’ve relished.
Harmony is key
I’ve always been an intuitive and responsive project leader, constantly with an eye on the human factor; I’ve seen how teams work best when each member feels their contribution is valued and recognised – from those working at the heart of the project, to third party suppliers. I’ve also learnt the value of a harmonious (where possible) working atmosphere, and have seen how that positively impacts on productivity and enthusiasm for the project at hand.
Personal take-outs
Uplifting team dynamics, a sense of mutual respect and knowing your input was valued; these were the qualities of the standout workplaces that I’ve been happiest working in, and they remain the keystones when it comes to coaching and mentoring clients and guiding them towards a more satisfying and fulfilling work experience.

My Services – with you at the centre
One-on-one coaching
Whether it’s guidance and support to build confidence and self-worth, or helping remove perceived barriers that are preventing you achieving your goals, I can help you identify any blocks and guide you in moving past them. Together we can rediscover your unique talents and motivations, and how best to use them to increase your performance and overall satisfaction with work, and life.
Coaching Sessions would cover (but not limited to):
✔ Identifying your personal and/or business goals
✔ Unearthing the barriers /limiting beliefs that may be preventing you achieving them
✔ Bringing awareness to how you’re dealing with current challenges in work
✔ Find pathways forward, in areas you didn’t think were possible
In my role as an advisor or guide, I can provide support and feedback – either across a specific project, or in a more general capacity. My approach includes getting to know the individual and their personal challenges, and then sharing my own knowledge and experience to help them develop and grow. For more senior clients, the mentoring process can help accelerate transformative change, and in some cases, I can facilitate introductions through my extensive business network.
Mentoring Sessions would cover (but not limited to):
✔ Understanding & managing your role and how to excel in it
✔ Building towards the next stage in your career
✔ Addressing issues with line managers
✔ The power of language in dealing with colleagues and clients
Is your group dynamic creaking? A new company strategy creating unrest? Need to re-energise your team?
While business challenges tend to be universal in nature, the culture of each company is unique, which means one-size coaching will never fit all. With this in mind, I build bespoke training modules, tailored to the particular issues or challenges being faced by you and your team.
Increasing team engagement & satisfaction
I can work with your teams to find their best skills and their key motivators, that will better align them within their role. My work may also reveal how individuals could be better employed in a different role within the company. Bottom line; I can l help your team members to feel more engaged, with a stronger sense of purpose in their work.
Knowledge sharing
I’m a big believer in the benefits of junior team members learning from the experience of their seniors. Not only does it help the newer team members develop their skills faster, but by giving them the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment, they’re more likely to actively step up and engage more.
Aiming for a better work-life balance
This has been a driving force in my life. Since my early 40s I’ve managed to have a 4 day week, which has given me valuable headspace on a Friday to develop other interests, take courses, or simply spend more time with friends. During sessions I will encourage discussions around achieving a better work balance, and how it positively impacts on productivity and overall work-satisfaction.
About me
I’ve always felt most fulfilled when helping grow other people’s potential and guiding them towards achieving their goals or defining what it is that they really want to do. Getting along with people, while also getting the job done has been my guiding principle. It’s served me well while navigating the many and diverse roles I’ve held in the marketing and advertising world.
In my personal life, I’ve reared a wonderful son and currently enjoy self-employment and the freedom it gives me to pursue work that really matters to me. I have navigated over 35 years financially independent; it can be achieved with motivation, focus and planning.
I want to give back the learnings, the insights and the hacks I’ve gleaned from a successful 30 year career. I want to make it easier, and to feel more intuitive for individuals to navigate and flourish where they are, or help them realise that it’s the right time to move on. How can I help you?

Get in touch
Engaging with a coach or mentor isn’t something you do every day, so to make it easier for my clients, I suggest a short introduction session, a brief “chemistry” chat to uncover what you’d like to achieve and just as importantly, to see if there’s a good fit between us.

Do you value your time?
Valuing my time has become more imperative both personally and particularly professionally: last week a few people picked up on an article by Ellinor Otter talking about working for free being a 'no no' and the type of face she would make when asked to do so. It was a...
The internal shift in 2022
Looking back over my shoulder: 2022 was a BIG internal shift for me, pulling myself out of full time contracts in advertising and marketing to well, go in, and reflect on my life and what inherent skills I really wanted to use in my working life: they are very close...
Go gently this Christmas
Go gently this Christmas…. For many this time of year evokes a huge sense of overwhelm. Consumer confidence a little shook, high utility bills, unease in Ukraine, combined with the expense of Christmas, a low level of anxiety can build in the body. On top of...
